Today on the show I have guest Mitzi Beach and we have a great conversation about her journey as an interior designer and what lead her to the path of Boomersmarts.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mitzi at the Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta and was immediately intrigued by her story and passion. I’ve followed her a bit online and knew her story would be a terrific one to share with you and the community in general, so I hope you enjoy this episode with Mitzi.

About Mitzi Beach, ASID CAPS NCIDQ

Mitzi is an author, speaker, interior designer, with over 30 years experience and has a masters degree in interior design, Beach is one of America’s top experts on Boomer Smarts interior design and chic products for universal design.  She has approved IDCEC courses online and speaks nationally, most recently at the Design bloggers Conference in Atlanta. She’s the author of Boomer Smarts, Boomer Power, speaking on aging better in America is her passion.  She was named a member of the prestigious Style Spotter group by High Point Market  and a member of the KBIS Vegas Blog Tour 2015.

The largest and wealthiest demographic in this country is aging. An estimated 12,500 Boomers turn 50 every day, causing unquestionable changes to Social Security, Medicare and, of course, housing. Mitzi firmly believes the Boomers can and must be the generation that changes the way we age in this country, and her unique combination of education, expertise and experience (even in the Aging in Place principles evidenced throughout her own “Living Lab” home, called Cypress) make her the ideal candidate to lead that charge.
